THE TINIEST BIT ABOUT ME
Shannon Kish - Artist I'm an artist for life (but a programmer by trade...I made this whole web site from scratch, from the images to the code) currently living in Cleveland, Ohio, with my wonderful husband and daughter. I dig sculpting and drawing and designing jewelry, but often dabble in other mediums.

I attended Cleveland State University and took multiple art classes, including drawing, sculpting and photography, without seeking a degree. I didn't want to fuss with all of the other stuff at the time...I just wanted to learn about art.

I'm constantly learning new things and trying to expand my horizons and set new goals, which really keeps the art and jewelry design fresh for me. I love to put new skills into my toolbox and take them out when necessary, so I can blend all of these different things together into my own little art style.

So this is my end result. I hope you like it.
25 Random Things About Me
1.) I'm immensely in love with my husband and daughter.
2.) I think my blood has turned into espresso.
3.) I'm still a little bit afraid of the dark and highly arachnophobic.
4.) I like freaky, dark images, like Giger and Larkin (check him out...awesome) and Saga Jepson (love her)
5.) I have an infatuation with skeletons and skulls. Oh, and sparkly things, of course. I wish Daniel Swarovski would make some skull jewelry.
6.) I like to sing and play guitar.
7.) I miss playing pool, but since Bustout Billiards closed, I can't find a good pool hall.
8.) No matter how bad things seem, I'm always glad I have all my limbs and digits. Things could ALWAYS be worse.
9.) I can sometimes be condescending...I'm working on it.
10.) I love programming because there are so many ways to get where you're going and everything is based on logic.
11.) I wish I could make a living from creating art and jewelry.
12.) I'm a pretty patient person and a very good listener. I try to see both sides of every story, realizing there's always at least two points of view, with the truth lying somewhere in between.
13.) The older I get, the more amazed I am that I'm not dead because of the stupid shit I did as a teenager...um, and definitely in my twenties, too...oh, yeah, and I did some really stupid stuff in my thirties as well. Okay, so it's still happening, but at least I'm learning from my mistakes.
14.) My main goal in life is to be content. I don't need to be gloriously happy and I definitely don't need to be depressed. I'm a happy medium kind of person. Sometimes life sucks and sometimes it's fabulous, but if I'm basically happy most of the time (and have all my limbs), how can I possibly complain?
15.) I love bacon and peanut butter, though not necessarily in that order and never together.
16.) Oh, and dairy products. Is there anything finer than cheese and milk and yogurt? As a matter of fact, I love me some cow. Beef. Hello? What's not to love about a cow? Leather...fabulous. I hope there aren't any vegans reading this.
17.) I did singing telegrams for a moment in time.
18.) I like musky, spicy perfumes. For men's cologne, I like wood and tobacco scents.
19.) I hate wearing shoes.
20.) My family had eggplant for Thanksgiving one time when I was young. I'm not talking on the side. I'm saying we had eggplant as our main course. No turkey, no stuffing. What the F!? What was my mother thinking? It was the seventies is the only thing I can rationalize.
21.) I believe that true family doesn't need to be blood and most of the time isn't.
22.) The Serenity Prayer is a tenet by which I try to live my life, though, I don't always succeed. That acceptance thing throws me sometimes.
23.) I'm incredibly thankful for my mother and appreciate her so much more now that I'm an adult. I apologize to her frequently for the awful things I did when I was a kid. Love you, Mom!
24.) I'm a live and let live kind of person. I try not to hate anybody (though, trust me, I get annoyed). As long as you're not hurting anybody or impeding on someone's rights, have at it.
25.) I have an unfulfilled dream of being a rock star.
