Description
Who doesn't love Carnivale, Mardi Gras or any other fabulous festival? This piece was created in that spirit of festivity and fun. This piece has been hand-cast in plaster from my original sculpture, the mold from which was hand-created using latex rubber to catch the detail and plaster for the mother mold. This piece is still one of a kind, however, because it is hand-painted. This is actually the very first cast of this particular piece that's up for sale. I will only make 100 casts of this and then I will break the mold forever. A sad thing, I know. This rendition of Carnivale has been hand-painted in layers of metallic silver, gold, and purple, with accents of orange, yellow and green, totally carnival colors in all their swirly glory. There is some grainy texture throughout, giving this piece more depth. After painting, Carnivale was sealed with a clear shellac. His eyes have been adorned with genuine Swarovski® crystals in topaz aurora borealis and another crystal has been placed as a mole near his jowl. I encourage you to look at the close-ups of these pics so that you can see the detail in the painting. This guy measures approximately 8.25 inches in length by 4 inches from ear to ear. He would look awesome hanging on your wall, especially in an area with some natural light hitting it. Again, this piece is one of a kind and has been numbered, signed and dated on the back . He comes ready to hang with a plastic-covered wire hook. Thanks for looking!
